Growing Ashford
Ashford is one the fastest growing areas of South East England. With a current population of some 112,000 residents a thriving bustling community is developing and expanding.
Designated by the Government as a ‘Growth Area’, and with a £2.5 billon investment programme under way, Ashford is on course to attract 31,000 new homes and up to 28,000 extra jobs by 2031.
With Eurostar providing a gateway to Europe, the imminent introduction of the ‘High Speed 1’ train service to London (in under 37 minutes) and the M20 motorway link on our doorstep, Ashford attracts steady growth over and above the remainder of the South-East.
Urbanisation may be on the increase, however, but the outskirts of Ashford are still bordering on rural with only a short journey taking you into beautiful rolling countryside, where the ‘Garden of England’ can be experienced and enjoyed by all. Even the coastal resorts and many other attractions are not far away. Ashford is considered to be a very convenient place to live for a variety of reasons.
