Presentation of Your Valuable AssetSome may say “presenting your home is no big deal because it’s the house you are buying – not the contents”. This view is incorrect. In our experience, presentation is of the utmost importance to realise the maximum potential value in any given market. There are now plenty of television programmes which support this view and actively encourage sellers to de-clutter, de-personalise and neutralise. First impressions are crucial. Most potential buyers will ‘drive-by’ a property, viewing its location and ‘kerb appeal’. From that first impression they will decide whether or not to make an appointment to view. Many potential buyers will make up their minds within the first few minutes of a viewing. It really comes down to whether a property ‘feels’ right; and this is where good presentation is your most valuable tool in creating an impressive ‘ambience’. You only have one chance to make a ‘First Impression’. |
